Same-Day AC & Heat Pump Repair in
San Antonio

When your air conditioner or heat pump quits in the middle of a Texas summer, you need AC and heat pump repair you can count on — fast. We get a technician to your door the same day, diagnose the real problem, and give you honest options before any work starts, across San Antonio, Schertz, and Cibolo.

A Complete Diagnostic

We Diagnose Before We Quote

Same-Day Service

Options, Not Pressure

Call us and we'll have a technician at your door today. When it's 100° outside, a fast response isn't a nice-to-have — it's the whole job. We answer the phone seven days a week.

For most repairs we give you more than one way forward — fix what's failed, upgrade the failing part, or when a system's near the end of its life, put that money toward replacement instead. You decide. We don't push.

Why San Antonio Homeowners Call Daley Air for Repairs

Fast, Honest, Fixed Right

No guessing, no quoting a repair over the phone. We find the actual cause first, then tell you what it'll take to fix — so you're paying for the real problem, not a parts-swap lottery.

We don't stop at the first thing we find. We check the entire system — electrical, refrigerant, airflow, and controls — so a small problem hiding behind a big one doesn't send you a second repair bill two weeks later.

We Test It and Confirm It's Fixed

Before we leave, we run the system and confirm it's cooling (or heating) the way it should — measuring performance, not just listening for it to turn on. You watch it work before we pack up.

We Make the Repair

Once you've selected the option that works best for you, our technicians get to work. We carry the parts needed for the most common failures on our trucks, which means in most cases we're able to complete the repair during the same visit and have your system running again before we leave. When a specialized part needs to be ordered, we'll let you know exactly what to expect and schedule the follow-up as quickly as possible.

We Diagnose the Real Problem

A proper repair starts with an accurate diagnosis. Our technicians take the time to thoroughly evaluate your HVAC system to identify the root cause of the issue rather than treating the symptoms. We inspect system performance, test critical components, and verify operation to pinpoint what's causing the problem. By finding the real source of the breakdown, we can recommend the right repair the first time, helping you avoid unnecessary costs, repeat service calls, and ongoing comfort issues.

You Get Options and an Upfront Price

Before any work starts, you get the diagnosis in plain language and — for most repairs — more than one way forward, each with a price up front. Fix what failed, upgrade the part, or apply the cost toward a replacement if the system's near end-of-life. You choose. Nothing happens until you say go.

You Call, We Come Out — Same Day

When your system stops working, getting help quickly matters. That's why we schedule your service for the same day you call. Once your appointment is set, we'll send a message to let you know when your technician is on the way, so you know exactly when to expect us and can plan your day around a clear arrival time.

Not Sure If It's Worth Repairing?

If your system is old and the repair is major, throwing money at it may not be the right call. We'll tell you honestly when a repair makes sense and when replacement is the smarter spend — and we'll show you both numbers. Sometimes replacing the system makes more sense than repairing it.

Heat Pump Repair

Heat pumps run year-round and have parts a standard AC doesn't — reversing valves, defrost boards, auxiliary heat. We repair all of it, in both heating and cooling modes.

AC Repair

Not cooling, short-cycling, leaking, blowing warm, tripping the breaker, or making a noise it didn't used to. We diagnose it and give you options the same day.

Signs Your AC or Heat Pump Needs Repair

  • It's blowing warm air, or barely cooling at all.

  • The system turns on and off every few minutes (short-cycling).

  • The breaker trips when the AC kicks on.

  • You hear grinding, buzzing, or a hard clicking at startup.

  • There's water pooling around the indoor unit, or ice on the lines.

  • Your energy bill jumped without a change in how you use it.

  • Some rooms are cold and others never get comfortable.

  • System runs constantly without reaching the set temperature

  • If your system is simply overdue for care, a seasonal AC tune-up may be all it needs.

  • Check your thermostat. Make sure it's set to "cool," the temperature is set several degrees below the current room temperature, and the fan is set to "auto" rather than "on." If your thermostat runs on batteries, replace them — a weak battery can cause the system to behave unpredictably.

  • Inspect your air filter. A dirty, clogged filter is one of the most common reasons a system stops cooling well. If yours looks gray and packed with dust, replace it with a clean one and give the system a little time to recover.

  • Check your circuit breakers. Locate your electrical panel and look for a tripped breaker labeled for your air conditioner or air handler. If one has tripped, switch it fully off and then back on. If it trips again right away, stop there and give us a call — a breaker that won't stay set points to a real electrical issue.

  • Confirm the outdoor disconnect is on. There's usually a small switch or pull-out box mounted on the wall near your outdoor unit. Make sure it's in the "on" position — these occasionally get switched off during other work around the house.

  • Clear the area around your outdoor unit. Leaves, grass clippings, and overgrown plants can choke off the airflow your system depends on. Keep at least a couple of feet clear on all sides, and gently rinse away heavy debris with a garden hose if the unit looks dirty.

  • Make sure your vents and registers are open. Closed or blocked supply vents — behind furniture, rugs, or curtains — can make the whole system struggle. Walk the house and confirm they're open and unobstructed.

  • Look for ice on the system. If you see ice on the refrigerant lines or the indoor coil, turn the system off and let it thaw completely before running it again. Ice usually points to a dirty filter or a deeper problem, so if it keeps happening, it's worth a call.

Before You Call: A Few Things Worth Checking

If you've checked all of the above and your system still isn't cooling properly, don't keep running it and hoping it recovers — that can turn a small problem into a larger one. Call us and we'll get a technician out the same day.

If it's just due for a tune-up, see our AC & heat pump maintenance page.

Q: Do you really offer same-day service?

A: Yes. Call us and we'll get a technician out to you the same day. When the part is in stock, we're usually able to complete the repair on that same visit as well.

Q: Will you tell me the price before you start?

A: Always. We diagnose the problem first, then give you the price — and for most repairs, more than one option — before any work begins. Nothing happens until you approve it.

Q: Do you repair systems you didn't install?

A: Yes. We repair any brand of AC or heat pump, whether we installed it or not.

Q: My system is old — should I repair it or replace it?

A: It depends on the system's age and the size of the repair. We'll show you the cost of both and tell you honestly which one makes more sense for your situation. We don't push replacement to make a sale. If replacement is the better call, here's what a new system installation involves — and flexible financing options can spread the cost.

Q: What if it breaks down after hours or on the weekend?

A: We answer the phone seven days a week, 7am to 9pm. Call and we'll get you scheduled as fast as we can.
